What is the main advantage of the new “Hawk F1” group? Unlike conventional geraniums, this new generation of varieties does not produce any pollen. As a result, it does not attract insects and does not produce the unwanted spikes which it is recommended are removed during the season in conventional varieties in order to avoid reduction of new flowers. In the “Hawk F1” group, the inflorescence falls off spontaneously after flowering and the plants continue to flower. Apart from this, the lifespan of the inflorescence is more than 7 days longer and plants produce up to 20% more flowers during vegetation than conventional varieties.

Cultivation is identical to that of conventional geraniums. Plants are well branched and compact, 25 cm in height without inflorescence (35 cm with inflorescence). The inflorescences are firm, 10-11 cm in diameter and flower size is about 4 cm. They tolerate both direct sun and partial shade extremely well. Suitable for containers, hanging baskets and beds. In large plantings, you gain a vibrant colour palette which does not stop flowering thanks to the self-cleaning effect. Seeds are available in scarified form.

Note: To better preserve the advantages of pollen-free varieties, we recommend isolation from conventional pollen varieties. Spatial isolation should be at least 50 m.
